The first words of Considering Sparrows suggest, “This is a book that is best read outside. If that’s not feasible, you could at least set up some background nature sounds on your phone and light a forest-scented candle.” My wife and I created this gift box to help you on your way, complete with a soothing forest-scented candle, themed matches, and some other tidbits to accessorize the book.
With this box, we’re grateful to introduce you to two Christian small businesses that we greatly respect.
Birdie Candles: Meredith Sain creates hand-crafted, small-batch candles in nearby Oakboro, North Carolina—with names inspired by our home state. We hope you’ll take a look at Birdie’s unique collections, including a line of “Abiding Words” based on some rich Greek and Hebrew words in the Bible.
Bird Art by KB: This is not the work of Kevin Burrell (assuredly!), but of our friend KB Ribelin, who paints birds from her studio in Granbury, Texas. She’s provided two premium greeting cards for this gift box, and one of her magnets as well; we think you’ll agree that she knows how to beautifully capture a feather in watercolor.
